Caterpillar launches engines for the oil and gas industry that comply with China’s off-highway Phase IV emission standards

Compared with China’s non-road Phase III emission standards (China III), the newly released Phase IV emission standards (China IV) have raised the limit requirements for emission pollutants, reducing particulate matter emission limits by nearly 90% and nitrogen oxide emission limits by nearly 50%. As a result, Caterpillar has further integrated and upgraded its core technology, ACERT® technology, to meet China IV emission limit requirements: a high-pressure fuel system with precise injection control, an advanced air management system, a next-generation turbocharger, an upgraded electronic system, and aftertreatment technology.
